You normally see huge equipment and machinery all over the place along with a large variety of construction materials like steel rods, pieces of metal, bricks, blocks, etc.
Most of these things are not kept in a planned and arranged manner as they are found literally all over the construction site.
In addition to that, there are large and deep pits and trenches that also pose a serious risk of accidents for people working at the site.
In this kind of environment, no construction site can afford to overlook the need for powerful hand lights along with other types of lights to meet varied requirements.
Speaking of the need for lighting at a construction site the advantages are many but nothing is perhaps more important than the need for the safety of the personnel working there.
Of course, lighting cannot prevent all of the accidents that take place in this kind of environment but it plays a major role in preventing many if not most of them.
A lot of the work on public infrastructure like roads, stormwater drainage, etc. is best done at night as they otherwise cause inconvenience to the public during the daytime.
Therefore, it is extremely important that a construction site should have adequate temporary lighting for it to add value to the project as a whole.
The role of proper illumination in construction sites
Even though lighting plays such a critical role in construction sites, there are no set guidelines about how much lighting is required for specific sections of a site.
That is mainly because there has never been any research on the subject. As a result, all the lighting at construction sites is at the managers’ discretion.
Of course, every site manager would like to have the best and the most optimum lighting for his/her site. In the absence of proper guidelines on construction site lighting, this becomes quite a challenge.
Managers would do well to remember that along with good quality lighting equipment and components they also need equally good quality accessories like NEMA 5 15 plugs, connectors, receptacles, pigtails, extensions, etc.
No round-the-clock operations without lighting
In many construction sites, most of the critical work takes place at night. It’s easy to see that this is not possible without good quality lighting at the site.
Most fatal accidents on a construction site take place due to falling or moving objects. To a large extent, such accidents happen due to poor handling of equipment and material.
Generators are the only source of power on construction sites. To run your generators smoothly and properly you are going to need quality 14-30 NEMA generator power cables and accessories.
It is very important that you source your electric lighting gear including accessories from brands that are well-known for the quality of their products.
Duraline is one such brand that has a great reputation among users across America. Visit their website to know better.
