Noorani qaida is a great way to teach kids about their religion and help them get a head start in memorizing the Quran. Here are some tips on how you can teach it at home:
-Find an English translation of the Quran. This will be helpful in finding verses that have corresponding English translations as well as helping with reading instruction.
-Discuss with your children what they already know about Islam and see if they are interested in learning more. If they don’t seem interested, you can try again later when they’re older or switch to another subject like math or science.
-Start teaching Arabic calligraphy together with them and encourage them to practice writing Arabic words by themselves. -Choose verses from the Quran to read every day, which is usually 2-3 lines each day. Read aloud to your kids and make sure they understand the meaning. You can also ask them questions about what was just read in order to assess their comprehension.
-Create flash cards of vocabulary terms related to Islam and quiz your child with these terms during our time reading together.
