If you’re like most business owners, your website is your most important tool. It’s how you communicate with customers, generate leads, and sell products or services. But if you need a strong SEO strategy to ensure potential customers can find you online, all those efforts might be well-spent. Luckily for us all (and for me!), there are many things we can do to improve our website’s search engine rankings and ensure that more people find them when they search for something relevant to what we offer.
Add alt text to all your images, with the keyword phrase included.
It’s important to add alt text to all of your images. Alt text is the text that appears when you hover over an image. This is good for SEO because it gives search engines more information about each image, which helps them determine what the image is about and how relevant it is to a certain keyword phrase. Make sure you use your keyword phrase in this alt text!
Use descriptive but short alt text for best results:
Add alt texts for every image with keywords included
Write a “sitewide” footer for your site and create links from every page that point to it.
The sitewide footer is a great place to include links to your social media accounts and other pages on your website. This can be done by using a link generator like the one created by [link builder](https://tools.seobook.com/css/link-builder/) or [Link Assistant](https://www.linkassistant.com/).
Get inbound links from authority websites.
Inbound links are the most important ranking factor for your website. They tell Google that other people consider your site’s content valuable and worth sharing, which helps convince Google to rank you higher.
To get inbound links from other websites, you need to create content others want to share and promote on social media channels. You can also use link-building strategies such as guest blogging or submitting a press release.
Once you have written a piece of original high-quality content (like an article), promoting it with well-targeted outreach emails is one way to get other sites to link to yours. It’s not easy, though – some sites may be reluctant because they need a better relationship with you or because they’re afraid of upsetting their existing readership by linking outwards too much. Try contacting the editors of relevant publications directly rather than just sending them generic emails asking them if they’ll publish any articles from freelancers like yourself; this will increase your chances of success considerably!
You can do many things to improve your website’s SEO ranking, but these 3 are the best place to start.
They’re easy to do and will help you improve your web presence.
