W88, an online gaming company that focuses on the Asian market, will no longer be Aston Villa’s jersey sponsor after the club announced that the collaboration will expire during the 2019–20 season.
The announcement came after the club announced that the partnership will end during the 2019–20 season.
As part of the agreement, which was made public in June of the preceding year and was hailed as a “record-breaking commercial collaboration” for the club, the W88 logo was included on the playing uniforms of the squad as well as the training equipment that was used by the first team. This was done in order to promote the strategy business, which was dubbed “W88”.
On the other hand, the club maintained that it had arrived at “its inescapable conclusion” and that it only applied to that particular season.
The following is an excerpt from the statement released by Aston Villa: “The club would like to thank the W88 team for their support over the previous 12 months.”
In June of 2019, the partnership between Wolverhampton Wanderers and their previous shirt sponsor, W88, came to an end. This was followed by the transition to ManBetX, a different firm that places an emphasis on the Asian market.
